<itunes:summary>The &#8220; 200-Words to a Community&#8221; language project is a 36-month project for preservation of Bod&#233;wadmi Zheshmowen, the native Potawatomi language. It is the effort of the 3-tribe consortium of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, the Nottawasseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi, and the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish (or Gun Lake) Band of Potawatomi Indians, located in southwestern Michigan and northern Indiana.

The Pokagon Band is the lead applicant and administrator, and will manage the &#8220;200-Word Project&#8221; through its headquarters in Dowagiac, Michigan.

While the (3) Bands are distinct and independent federally-recognized tribes, they maintain close contact and cooperation because of their common culture as Potawatomi Indians, and have entered into a formal Memorandum of Agreement for this project.

This project is made possible through a grant funded by the Administration for Native Americans.

      <description>Bozho Ja-ginwa!

Frank ndeshnas, nchiw&#233;nmo &#233;-yayen zhode.

This space will be available as a support for people attending the &#8220;200 Words to Community&#8221; language classes. Anyone else out there with an interest in Potawatomi is welcome to download and share the information, we just ask that credit is given as credit is due.

Things may be slow and bit rough while I learn the technology, but I think any difficulties will be worth the effort.

Let me know how this is working for you and give me a few helpful suggestions when I see you!
